The ICD-10 Compliance Challenge:  Automating Trading Partner and Affiliate Readiness

A significant component of ensuring compliance with ICD-10 involves assessing the readiness of business partners to transact with the new ICD-10 codes.  Affiliate readiness is one area where healthcare plans and healthcare providers have different, but parallel needs.  For both, communication and coordination with trading partners and affiliates is critical.  Avior Computing will review the various best practices models from WEDI, CMS and AHIMA.  We will show how some of the largest healthcare organizations use the BenchMark Solution Pack for ICD-10 to manage the complex interactions with all of their trading partners.  We will review the different requirements for both payers and providers in working with trading partners and affiliates to manage the transition to ICD-10.  Most importantly we will demonstrate how automation can reduce risk while also saving valuable staff time and money.
