Successful Strategies for Aligning Payment Innovation to Value-Based Contracts

Optum

The emphasis on value-over volume is growing at an accelerated pace –and is going to continue to grow as payers, providers and government programs move more business into value-based contracting programs. 90% of payers and 80% of hospitals have value plays in their reimbursement mixes, and payers anticipate fee-for-service checks to drop to less than one-third of the total over the next five years.

The question remains, what makes a successful value-based reimbursement approach?  This webinar explores the need for clear agreement on what defines success and especially between partnering organizations that often face multiple uncoordinated and unsynchronized episode definitions, metrics and data requirements.

Programs for public and private patient populations have different goals, different definitions of quality and different ways to measure whether quality objectives are attained. And many of these programs continue to change and evolve.

The webinar will explore:

  • Understanding elements of successful value-based reimbursement contracts
  • The role of actionable performance reports
  • Data management in a value-driven world
