What Does .NET Have that the Competition Doesn't?

Description
Several years ago, Microsoft introduced a new application development platform that was fundamentally different from their established COM architecture. This new platform, called ".NET", has been well received, yet many technical and business decision makers are still unclear as to how .NET differentiates itself from its competitors. What DOES .NET have that its competition does not? David Solivan, Architect Advisor on Microsoft National Architecture Team, will talk about this subject. By the end of this session, attendees will be able to understand and clearly articulate the key difference between .NET and its competitors and to understand what features are unique to .NET.
