Elliot M. Stone led the MA Health Data Consortium from its inception in 1978 until his death in April 2005. His power of creating
professional relationships, making adversaries into friends and treating competitors as colleagues allowed him to build a remarkable
organization and leave a lasting legacy.

In his honor, the Consortium created the Elliot M. Stone Memorial Fund to support his vision that collaboration, collegiality
and the use of objective data would drive the improvement of health care for everyone will live on. The money collected will
support the work of promising graduate students doing research on the uses of health information. What greater gift can we give
Elliot than the continued opportunity to influence and shape future health care leaders? Details about the internship will be posted
on this site as they develop.
How You Can Participate:
Please help us to preserve Elliot’s spirit through your tax-deductible contribution to the Elliot M. Stone Memorial Fund. The
goal of this fund-raising effort is $100,000, which will allow us to support 6 graduate students over the next 6 years. There are
several ways you can become involved:
- Become a corporate sponsor by purchasing a table at the upcoming Annual Meeting & Conference on April 28, 2006
(see below) -- NOTE: Deadline for inclusion in Program Booklet is Friday, April 21
- Contribute to the fund by simply filling out and returning the bottom portion of the
invitation letter (PDF) with your donation
- Attend the upcoming Annual Meeting & Conference on April 28, 2006 and join us in celebrating Elliot’s legacy
