Getting the Most from Your Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Investment – Turning Data into Actionable Content

Friday, March 10, 2006 - 9:00-11:00am
Massachusetts Health Data Consortium, Waltham, MA

Presented by     New Tilt logo

Description

The right content delivered in an intuitive information framework has a major impact on productivity, quality, outcomes, collaboration and outreach. Ms Chambers will present a framework for developing information architectures for self-service applications drawing on New Tilt’s experience both in healthcare and other industries. An information architecture maps different user needs to information content, data and applications. Meeting notes, policies, protocols and procedures, even daily information announcements, need to be integrated with data and applications required for different users to perform their jobs. Determining users’ information requirements and their daily workflow is a key starting point. Understanding how to keep users coming back to the system day after day is critical for user adoption – and ROI. The methodology for mapping user needs analysis to the SOA through information architecture will be illustrated.
