Description
While an increasing number of healthcare organizations are intrigued by mobile technologies, many struggle with where to begin. This presentation aims to present an incremental implementation framework that is grounded in electronic charge capture. Dr. Delaney will first speak to the challenges and rewards of re-engineering the charge capture process and why it makes sense to start with charge capture as a mobile foundation. Linda Cagle will then present a case study of Lahey Clinic's experience implementing MedAptus' mobile charge capture - a project the institution launched in 2001. This portion will highlight considerations around Lahey's project planning, defined metrics for success, and measurement and analysis of results, and will conclude with an overview of challenges and rewards as experienced by an early-adopter institution.
