Using a case study approach, we will discuss examples of clinical communities that have been transformed by the implementation of Web-based clinical applications. We will explore financial models, governance structures, phasing of features and functions, and approaches to implementation that appear to influence adoption. We will also discuss the technology and architecture of these implementations and how these impact outcomes and success.
