Description
Improving patient Safety and clinical outcomes has been the focus of providers and payers alike over the past several years. Mobile and wireless technologies have been shown to enable clinical process improvements which directly effect quality of care and support operational efficiency. Kathy will overview the available pervasive technologies and discuss their application to the clinical setting. Considerations for point of care voice/data communications, patient identification, medication management, mobile health and asset tracking (RFID) will be covered. A look ahead to future technologies which will make their way into the healthcare industry will also be addressed.
