Description

If you build it, will they use it? We have all heard, and perhaps even lived, the stories of web and portal applications that are designed and implemented but stand unused by the intended stakeholders. As the movement towards increased consumerism in healthcare continues to gain momentum, and more and more applications are web enabled, the need to create a compelling user experience becomes critical to increase adoption and deliver on the promise of web technology.

In this session we will share best practices in user experience research and design that will help ensure that your organization and users get the value they expect from your web and portal applications. We will draw on our deep, cross-industry experience in developing web applications and will explore the fundamental steps that you should undertake to develop truly integrated portal solutions, by understanding the needs of your users. We will also discuss the results of our independent research with patients and share our findings regarding their needs and expectations for e-health.
