Robert W. Sorrenti, MD, MHA
Robert W. Sorrenti, MD, MHA is the Staff Vice President for UNICARE at the Andover Service Center. His responsibilities include the management of this service center dedicated to the administration of the Group Insurance Commission's GIC Indemnity Plan. This service center provides integrated customer service, managed care, education and outreach, claims processing, data management and reporting. He is also the Medical Director for the Plan.
Prior to taking on responsibilities for the GIC Indemnity Plan, Dr. Sorrenti was the Chief of Pediatrics at Worcester City Hospital. In that capacity, he provided administration for a training program in pediatrics, taught and supervised patient care. He has also worked as a consultant for the Worcester Area System for Affordable Health Care as part of a consumer information campaign.
Dr. Sorrenti has an MD from Harvard Medical School and an MHA from Clark University. He is an active member of the Massachusetts Medical Society and a former President of the Worcester District Medical Society.
