Ted Blizzard
Ted Blizzard is the Vice President and Chief Information Officer of the Massachusetts Medical Society
and New England Journal of Medicine.
Ted was a Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in advance studies he received his Ph.D.
in International Business at Kennedy-Western University. He has an MBA in Finance from Wilkes University.
Ted is a member of ASTM working on the technical construction of the Continuity of Care Record (CCR).
Ted is also a member of Health Level 7 working in their structured documents committee and a member of
Massachusetts Health Data Consortium and a former member of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Ted is
a former member of the CIO Advisory Council for the State of Pennsylvania and he has spent many years as
adjunct faculty member at Penn State University and is an avid learner and coach.
