HIT '10 - HIT At A Crossroads

The year 2010 finds us at a crossroads for Health Information Technology: How do we progress from the historic enactment of ARRA in 2009 to the availability of billions of dollars for providers to meaningfully use HIT systems in 2011?  The Consortium's 2010 Conference will comprehensively address this question.

HIT '10 kicks off with your choice of Breakfast Briefings at 8:00 AM (you will be asked to select one upon registering):
  • Covisia Solutions/Cisco - Connecting Clinicians, Patients & Information - You are invited to hear how Cisco Connected Health Solutions can facilitate collaboration among staff and clinicians.  Also learn how efficient communication with patients and family members can improve the quality of care.
  • InterSystems - HIE Around the Globe -  Drawing on InterSystems' experience with connecting healthcare systems in Sweden, the US, and other countries, Dr. Daniel O'Donnell, Senior Advisor for Medical Informatics at InterSystems, will discuss how different approaches to providing healthcare affects the design, implementation, and funding of health information exchanges.
