As providers move from fee-for-service model to a model in which they are at risk, understanding the drivers are cost and quality have become of increasing importance.

During this presentation, the healthcare economist Adam C. Powell, Ph.D., will describe the types of data Accountable Care Organizations need to succeed and the means by which that data can be used to improve provider performance.

He will also describe other ways that provider data can be used to boost performance outside of what is traditionally measured by an ACO contract.

Learning Objectives:
  • Understand ways in which payers are incentivizing healthcare quality
  • Identify the types of data your organization needs to operate successfully under an ACO model
  • Examine analytic techniques that can be used to measure provider performance and target improvements
  • Think holistically about the performance improvement opportunities presented by greater access to data
